| A good friend, Preston Honea, who actually was my golf pro that taught me the game of golf..I guess he will be the one to blame for my obsession of the game. Our group of golfers met every Monday, weather permitting, and sometimes during the week. Preston moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, so our game was put on hold till I could get down there for more lessons. Enough about golf.. Anyway, back in the day, Preston was a business owner in St. Louis, Missouri but also found time to be a professional drag racer. Preston was contacted by a private car collector that is restoring the old 1967 Dodge Dart Funny Car that he raced and has kept him abreast of the progress. Below is a time line of Preston and his race car. Unfortunately, I do not know the collectors name that is doing this beautiful work. All of you motorheads out there, take a look and maybe send him off an email. He is pretty much housebound with health issues and would get a kick out of hearing from any of his racing "family".
